ACCOUNT DELETION
Effective date: August 3, 2026 · Last updated: August 3, 2026
You can permanently delete your The Locker Room account at any time — from inside the app or by emailing us. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
Option 1 — Delete in the app
- Sign in to The Locker Room.
- Open Settings (your profile tab).
- Scroll to Account.
- Tap Delete Account.
- Confirm by typing DELETE in the confirmation box, then tap the final delete button.
You must be signed in to your own account to use this path, and the confirmation step is required before anything is deleted. Once it completes, you're signed out immediately and the account can no longer sign in.
Option 2 — Request deletion by email
Email section8ight31@gmail.com with the subject “Account Deletion Request.” Send it from the email address on the account and include your username so we can verify ownership. We don't need any other personal information, and you never have to call us.
We aim to acknowledge deletion requests within 2–3 business days and complete verified deletions promptly thereafter.
What gets deleted
- Your profile, username, bio, athletic details and profile photo
- Uploaded photos and videos, and their captions
- Your posts, bulletin entries, locker notes and comments
- Your likes, follows, friend relationships, top-friends list and blocks
- Direct messages you sent, and your saved AI Coach conversations
- Streaks, XP, coins, rewards, predictions and other gamification records
- Your sign-in credentials, so the account can never log in again
What may be retained
- Limited records required for legal obligations, safety and abuse prevention, fraud prevention, security investigations and resolving disputes.
- Moderation and safety reports, which we keep but de-identify by removing the link to your account.
- Copies in routine encrypted backups for a limited period until those backups expire or are overwritten.
- Aggregated or de-identified data that can no longer be linked to you.
Content you shared with other people — for example, a message in someone else's inbox, a comment quoted in another post, or a screenshot someone saved — may continue to exist outside your control even after your account is deleted.
Deleting the app is not deleting your account
Removing The Locker Room from your phone only uninstalls the app. Your account, profile and content remain active until you complete one of the deletion options above.
